Connecting a screen

  1. 1

    Open the screen page

Open /tv in the Kyuko web app on a TV, monitor, tablet or Android media box. It shows a 8-digit code in two groups of four.

  2. 2

Enter the code in the dashboard

Owners or managers choose Screens → Connect screen, enter the code, select the location and queues, and name the screen. Operators cannot connect screens.

  3. 3

The screen starts showing the queue

The TV detects the connection and shows the queue. Codes last 10 minutes; an unused expired code is replaced automatically.

  4. 4

    Replacement and disconnection

Replace device keeps the screen name and queues when changing TVs. A disconnected screen shows a new connection code within half a minute.

What the screen shows

Calling
Current calls: ticket number and service point. New or repeated calls are highlighted for 10 seconds.
Waiting
The number of people waiting, or Nobody when the queue is empty.
Queue status
A paused banner with the manager’s note, or a closed-for-today banner.
QR code
The queue QR code appears on screen. Dynamic QR updates automatically.
Header
Location name, screen name and a clock in the location’s time zone.
No personal data
Only ticket numbers and service points. No names, contact details or form answers.
Appearance
Uses the first queue’s poster design, chosen by industry and time of day, with a QR code on water and the Kyuko mark below.

Multiple queues on one screen

Link a screen to one location and either all its queues, including future ones, or selected queues. A shared board shows newest calls first and waiting counts for each queue below.

One QR leads to a queue-selection page rather than showing a code per queue. Visitors choose their queue and join as usual. Dynamic screen codes update automatically.

A single-queue screen fills the display with that queue’s poster, its QR and a calling panel, suitable for a tablet beside a door or room.

When the connection drops

  • The screen keeps the latest data with a no-connection notice, then updates when connectivity returns.
  • If Wi-Fi is not ready at startup, the screen reports that it could not open and retries every 10 seconds.
  • After power-off or restart, the queue returns if the browser retains site data. Otherwise a new connection code appears.
  • Screen-name and queue-selection changes reach the TV within half a minute.

Device requirements

  • A modern browser: Chrome or Edge 111+, Safari 16.4+, Firefox 128+.
  • Older built-in TV browsers may be unsupported. If a browser-too-old notice appears, use an Android TV, Google TV or Fire TV media box.
  • A permanent internet connection; no offline mode.
  • The page requests screen wake lock, which not all browsers support. Fullscreen must be enabled manually with the fullscreen button.

Screens per plan

Screen limits by plan
Plan Screens Dynamic QR
Free No No
Business 2 screens Yes
Network 2 screens per location Yes

Note. After a downgrade, screens over the limit show Upgrade your plan; the rest keep working. Dynamic queues require a connected screen currently showing them, otherwise tickets cannot be issued. The dashboard warns about this.

What the screen does not include

  • Sound: calls are highlighted numbers. Sound and vibration are only on the visitor’s ticket page.
  • Next-number lists or waiting-time estimates: only the waiting count is shown.
  • A light/dark theme switch: the queue poster determines the design.
  • Business logos: the Kyuko mark appears below.

Frequently asked questions

Which TVs work?

Those with Chrome or Edge 111+, Safari 16.4+ or Firefox 128+. Older TV browsers may not work. Use an Android TV, Google TV or Fire TV box, monitor or tablet instead.

Must I install a TV app?

No. The display is the /tv browser page, with no separate app.

Who can connect screens?

Organisation owners and managers. Operators use the calling board but cannot connect screens.

How many screens can I connect?

Business includes 2, Network includes 2 per paid location, and Free includes none. Limits apply to the whole organisation. See Pricing.

Why does the TV show a new code?

It was disconnected or replaced, or its browser lost site data. Enter the new code in the dashboard. Use Replace device on an existing screen to retain its name and queues.

Does the screen play a sound?

No. Called numbers are highlighted for 10 seconds. Sound and vibration are only on an open visitor ticket page.

How quickly does the screen update?

Queue-change signals trigger updates. Settings changes arrive within half a minute.

Can one screen show multiple queues?

Yes. It shows calls and waiting counts for selected queues. One QR opens queue selection. See Walk-in queue for how visitors join.
