What is a queue management system

A queue is any flow of people served in turn: reception, a specialist’s chair, a collection counter or device intake. Kyuko manages these in one dashboard: create a queue, choose how visitors join, print a QR poster and call the next person.

Visitors need no app: joining, booking and checking in work in their phone browser. Notifications arrive in the browser or Telegram.

Three queue types

Walk-in queue
Scan the QR code at the entrance, get a number on your phone and step away. A notification and the screen call you when it is your turn. For visits without appointments. More about walk-in queues.
Time booking
Choose a free time in the browser, then tap “I am here” on site to receive a queue number. For visits planned ahead. More about time booking.
Booking with a specialist
Choose services, a specific specialist or “any available”, and a time when they are free for the whole visit. For salons, clinics and teams with individual schedules. More about specialist booking.

Combining queue types

Choose how visitors join each queue in the “How the queue works” window, which offers three options.

Queue operating modes
Mode Who gets a number Suitable for
Walk-in queue Anyone who scans the queue’s QR code Order collection, device intake and reception without appointments
Bookings only Booked visitors after check-in; staff can also add someone manually Doctor appointments and services at set times
Walk-ins and bookings Booked visitors and walk-ins; booked visitors have priority Salons, car repair shops and repair centres

Booking has two modes: time only, with slots and a capacity per time, or service with a specialist, with service durations and individual schedules. Choose a mode for each queue.

What all queues share

  • A queue QR code and posters for print and screens: 80 templates in 15 formats.
  • TV displays with calls and the QR code on paid plans.
  • Browser or Telegram notifications when the turn approaches and when called.
  • A visitor form with up to 10 fields per queue on paid plans.
  • Analytics: waiting times, hourly load, bookings and staff performance.
  • Visitor feedback after service.

Choosing a queue type

  • Short visits without an appointment: use a walk-in queue.
  • Each visit needs a time and crowds at the entrance are unsuitable: accept bookings only.
  • Both booked visitors and walk-ins: combine the two, with booked visitors ahead.
  • Clients choose who serves them as well as the time: use specialist booking.

Note. You can change the type while a queue is running. Existing tickets and bookings stay. Specialist booking cannot be disabled while future specialist bookings exist.

Frequently asked questions

How many queues can I run at once?

As many as your plan allows, with a separate type for each: Free has 1 queue, Business has 5 queues, and Network has 5 queues per location. See Pricing.

Can I change the type while the queue is running?

Yes, in “How the queue works”. Existing tickets and bookings stay, even if new bookings are disabled. To disable specialist booking, first move or cancel all future specialist bookings.

Can walk-ins and bookings be combined?

Yes, choose walk-ins and bookings. Visitors with a booking who tap “I am here” join ahead of walk-ins.

How does time booking differ from specialist booking?

Time booking divides the day into equal slots, each with your chosen capacity. Specialist booking uses service durations and individual schedules, showing only times when the specialist is free for the entire visit.

Do visitors need an app?

No. Visitors join, book and check in using their phone browser. They choose browser or Telegram notifications.
